Oktoberfest day 1

We were pulled towards the first beer tent by liters of German ale and 'friendly' staff. Then we attempted a feeble search for lederhosen but found ourselves within the second tent at a distant unreserved table with a couple from PA. We drank, sang, and toasted as the waiter insisted on more liters of ale.   We filled our small stomachs and stumbled out onto the beaten path with its rides, vendors, and beer tents flanking each side. Eventually we wound up at a primer reserved table at the front of the tent dancing, toasting, and singing at the top of our lungs. At this point we were 4-12 liters deep. We managed to stumble out of that tent and grab some drunkenly-amazing pork sandwiches on our long trek home. We fought valiantly against the rigors of inebriation and managed to make it back in one piece, no lederhosen, a vague idea of the festival's layout, and more than tow beers deep....

Oktoberfest

What a prelim day!  After countless hours on planes, trains, and automobiles we arrived. I stepped off of my delayed plane to be greeted by, none other than, the bachelor himself. Ben, in full travel fatigues with his backpack from childhood ready and rearing to go, charged through the airport as if he knew where he was going. It turns out, he had a pretty good idea as we hopped on a subway bound for our Airbnb. We arrive a few hours early so we had a few beers and food at a local Italian restaurant near to our Airbnb.  We were let in and after a very adult power nap we set out towards the festival. Today's agenda included; getting a lay of the land, purchasing lederhosen, and a beer or two. What happened was quite different.
